About this game

Gratuitous Space Battles is a sci-fi car fighting game developed by Positech Games. Instead of boring you with all the backstories, resource gathering and diplomacy, GSB puts you straight into the action with large, totally unjustified space battles between huge enemy fleets. You are the chief space admiral, charged with designing individual ships, managing their composition and formations in battle, but once you have placed them you will no longer be able to directly control your ships during battle. This game is not about lightning-fast reflexes like many RTS games, but about careful planning, reflection and strategy in the overall picture.

• Huge battles can be won by how carefully you weigh your defensive shields and armor against the high cost of your expensive firepower from plasma torpedoes and laser cannons. With 40 different hulls and 120 spaceship modules, the possibilities are endless.
• As already mentioned, you cannot influence the battle yourself, only the starting formation of your ship and then a series of movement orders that you can issue.
• Once you have a fleet to be proud of, you can battle other players using the innovative multiplayer challenge system. Upload your fleet to serve as an enemy to other players to challenge.

Gratuitous Space Battles The Parasites

The Parasites are a new breed to play in Gratuitous Space Battles. They are a breed of parasites that invade the bodies of other species and make them the hosts for their larvae. There are 10 new ships at your disposal: 4 cruisers, 3 frigates and 3 fighters with their own graphic style.

• 3 new marine equipment, the flare cannon, the plasma slingshot and the revenge missile scramble an ECM that knocks back the ship that sent the missile that attacked it.
• Parasites are masters of their craft, they build ships that last a long time. Their ships have integrity and armor bonuses, but their shields are weaker to make up for their thicker armor.
• 1 new scenario map where you can fight against AI-controlled parasite ships, you can also use the map later in online challenges.
